The app finds nothing when I scan

Almost always one of three causes:

• Local Network permission isn't granted. Check Settings → Menuboard Manager MDC → Local Network is on. If it was denied once, iOS won't prompt again — you have to fix it there.
• Wrong network. Your iPhone or iPad needs to be on the same Wi-Fi as the displays — not cellular, and not a VPN, which can silently block local traffic.
• The display's Remote Configuration is off, or its display ID doesn't match what you're scanning for. Check the panel's on-screen menu (Menu → System → Power Control → Remote Configuration).

You can always add a display manually by IP if scanning doesn't find it — that path doesn't depend on network discovery at all.

I don't have a display to try the app with

Turn on Demo Mode (the "⋯" menu → Settings → Demo Mode). It simulates three displays and every feature works against them — no network, no permission, no real hardware needed.

Where is my data?

Everything — your added displays, saved profiles, and audit history — lives only on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.
